It was very thought provoking to listen to the description of genre in such broad terms and how it encompasses research. It never occured to me that " a memorandum of understanding" between a student and supervisor is a trend in genre! I am just worried about the kind of stereotypes in my mind where I think that certain aspects belong to certain fields of study and are kind of foreign in other fields.
There is no place for stereotypes in research, there is only a wealth of information for the reader who has an interest in various subjects! Yes, it is a tall order, but can be accomplished!
Actually i'm thinking..........most subjects have "guides for dummies" not that I promise to understand the explanation for dummies but I think it can be a start!

Franschhoek experience!
Did it have to rain and cold? What a day! But hey, this is my first visit to Cape Town, I would have gone even if it was snowing!!!
